The Life of RALPH EDWARD WEST
Ralph West, 82, passed away peacefully Monday, April 23, 2012, at his home. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Ralph was born August 25, 1929, to Florence and Franklin West in Des Moines. He retired from Meredith Corporation after 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, horse racing, watching the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs, and spending time with his family.
Ralph is survived by his children: Jeanne (Joseph) Dahm, Mary, Gary, and Richard West; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother Frank (Jean) West; many nieces, nephews and family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Florence and Frank; his wife Mary Lou; his children: Jocelyn West and Becky Senecaut; and his brothers: John, Paul, and Bob.
