The Life of GEORGE CECIL KRESS
George C. Kress who was born on August 19, 1943 in Mondamin, IA passed away on April 15, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., both at Ernst Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
George was an avid fan of NASCAR. He enjoyed camping, grilling and loved to fix things. He was a proud grandfather and always enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
George is survived by children Kristy (Daryl) Hedstrand, Kim (Robert) Bates and Kendra Kress (Brian Padovich); grandchildren Brandon, Cory, Katelyn, Brittany, Alessia, Joshua and Sydney; brothers Roy (Mary) Kress and John (Carol) Kress; and special friend Lori Buchholz. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria in 2006, grandson Derek and mother-in-law Annie Hussing.>>
