The Life of MARJORIE ELLEN TORNQUIST
Marjorie Tornquist, 61, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Taylor House in Des Moines. She was born April 6, 1950, to Ray and Masie Showman.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Thomas Tornquist, Michael Tornquist, and Karen Ladd; step-children, Anita McGregor, and Bill Tornquist; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Moyer, Martha Albright, Joanna Schafroth, Nancy Moore; and brother, Wesley Showman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Tornquist; her parents; and sisters, Esther Cavin and Marcella Stevens.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, at the funeral home.
