The Life of CARRY FRANK THOMPSON
Frank Thompson passed away February 25, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, surrounded by loved ones. Sgt. Thompson retired from the U.S. Army and also from the State of Iowa. He was a native of Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Sgt. Thompson is survived by his daughter, Kay (Rex) Gobbell; grandsons, Bryan (Anne) Gobbell and Jonathan (Michele) Gobbell; great-grandchildren, Cole, Will, Kathleen and Elizabeth, all from Nashville, TN; and his special friend, Shirley Plimmer, of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.
