The Life of Ms. Mary E. Reed

REED, Mary Elizabeth Lally Of Yarmouthport, MA, passed away at her home on Thursday morning, August 15, 2013. She was the wife of the late Robert R. Reed. Mary was born in Boston, MA on May 6, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Frank H. Lally and Alice E. Lally. She was the sister of the late Frank Lally. After growing up in Brookline, MA, she graduated from Lesley College. She was the beloved mother of Robert R. Reed, Jr. of Branford, CT. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Tim & Leah Lally, Andrew Lally, Frank Lally, Greg Lally, Lisa Lally, Chris Lally, Mina Baker Knoll, Albert Knoll, Kim Knoll, Chuck Knoll, Albert Knoll, Phyllis Lee and Amy Lee. Mary spent a majority part of her life in Weston, CT where she enjoyed playing golf, paddle tennis, and was a member of the Weston Women's Club. She enjoyed entertaining at her home with her lifelong friends. Visiting hours will be held at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA, Weds., August 21, 2013 from 3-6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Chapel on 32 Summer Street, Yarmouthport, MA on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11AM.
