The Life of Mrs. Marie B. Guman

Marie B. Guman, age 85, of Fairfield, beloved wife of 66 years of Robert E. Guman, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 29, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Lucien and Corona Chevrette, she had been a Fairfield resident for over 50 years. Marie worked as a Bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Photographic Productions, Inc. of Danbury. She loved taking her dogs for walks at Lake Mohegan and spending time with her beloved family. Marie was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Fairfield. Survivors in addition to her loving husband, Bob, include two beloved children, Diane Ott and her husband Wayne of Bridgeport and Robert E. Guman, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Milford; two grandchildren, Gary Ott and Austin Guman; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Bailey and Christopher; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Guman, a granddaughter, Christina Oberhuber, a brother, Ray and a sister Yvette. Due to current circumstances, a private graveside service will be held at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. A public celebration of Marie’s life will be held when safe to do so.
