The Life of MABLE LORIE WEBB BRADY

Mable Brady, 92, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born October 25, 1919, in Des Moines to Melvin and Anna (Pruitt) Webb. She graduated from East High School, and was a member of The Eastern Star, East Gate Lodge 630. Mable retired from Dahls and worked in the gift shop of the Holiday Inn Downtown. Mable is survived by her son, James R. Brady and his wife, GentryAnn of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Scott J. Brady and his wife, Lynn of Huntsville, AL; Lisa Cody of Decatur, TX; Jill Corwin (Robb) of Chandler, AZ; and Pierce Haverfield of Monroe, NC; great-grandchildren, Graham and Anna Brady; Cole, Chase, and Reese Corwin; brother, Robert Webb (Amelia) of Des Moines; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Her niece, and good friend Darlene (Gary) Davidson of Des Moines, and family were especially appreciated by Mable and her family for their care and thoughtfulness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Brady and brothers, Raymond and Forrest Webb. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to “Meals on Wheels” in loving memory of Mable.
