The Life of RICHARD ALLEN THORNTON
Richard Allen Thornton, 73, of 413 18th St., West Des Moines, died of cancer Monday at home. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at West Des Moines Christian Church, of which he was a member. Burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Thornton was born in Russell and lived in West Des Moines 17 years. He retired as a maintenance supervisor at Hoyt Sherman Place.
Surviving are his wife, Colleena; a son, Gary of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Patricia Colombero of Brownsburg, IN; a sister, Jean Stewart of Des Moines; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church. Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
