The Life of GENEVIE L MCCARTNEY
Services for Mrs. Genevie L McCartney, 55, of 2201 E Grand Ave. will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. McCartney, a lifelong Des Moines resident, died Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital of complications following surgery. She was ill 10 days.
She was supervisor of production control at the Library Binding Co. She had attended East High School.
Surviving are a son, Edward O. of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Judith Austin of Boulder, CO, and Mrs. Marilyn Steinbach of Ankeny; a sister, Mrs. Lillian dennis of Muskegon, MI and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
