The Life of SIMPSON OLIVER CAREY

Simpson (Sim) Carey, 75, of 6015 Grand Ave., who died Friday at Des Moines General Hospital of uremic poisoning, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Dunn''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be at the Highland Memory Gardens.

Mr. Carey was a native of Stanhope, IA. and lived in Des Moines 45 years.  He was former owner and operator of Carey Bros. Nursery.  He was a member of the Des Moiens Rose Society, the Iowa Nurserymen''s Association and the American Association of Nurserymen.  He was also a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Robert H. Stone, West Des Moines; three sons, Conrad, West Des Moines, Alfred, Urbandale, and Rudy, Des Moines; four brothers, A. Blaine, Grinnell, Percy, Gettysburg, SD, Quinton and Seldon, both of Arcadia, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Piper, Lincoln, NB, Mrs. Charles Peterson, Pontiac, MI, and Mrs. Perry Epley, Woodland Park, CO; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
