The Life of LOREN G BARNES
Services for Loren G Barnes, 65, of Chicago, formerly of Des Moines, will be at 1:30 pm Tueday at Hamilton's Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes died of a heart attack Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. A former resident of 1508 E Twelfth St., he was in the city on family business when he ws stricken.
He was a mechanical and electrical engineer and was an instructor at the Commercial Trades Institute in Chicago. Born in Des Moines, he was a greaduate of East High School, and lived here until he moved to Chicago in 1936.
Surviving are his wife, Maybelle; a son, Loren C. and a daughter, Mrs. Sue Riley, all of Chicago; a brother, Joseph L of Indianapolis, Ind., and three sisters, Mrs. Alta A Emmons and Lena Barnes, both of Des Moines, and Mrs. Faun Palmer of Indianapolis.
