The Life of DALE JOHN RUDEN
Dale John Ruden, 67, of the 3800 block of East 30th St. died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Ruden was born in Remsen and had lived there until moving to Des Moines 31 years ago. He had been a heavy equipment operator with Eco Tech in Grimes and was an Army veteran. He had owned a stock car and enjoyed NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; four sons, Doug of Davenport, Greg of Fort Dodge and Paul and Brad, both of Des Moines; two daughters, Renee'' Ruden of Huxley and Denise Ruden Spencer of Des Moines; his mother, Tony Ruden of Remsen; two sisters, Marilyn Reese of Newton and Carol Jean Weber of Remsen; four brothers, Larry and Mike of Remsen; David of Granville and Mark of Le Mars; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
