The Life of VELMA I MULLINS
Velma I Mullins, 101, died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Genesis Senior Living Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Capitol Hill Christian Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Velma was born July 1, 1904 in Kellerton, IA. She was a member of Capitol Hill Christian Church. She is survived by her sons, Rev. Dr. George H. (Mildred) Mullins of Des Moines; Joe (Toni) Mullins of Red Bank, NJ; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oral "Moon" Mullins; grandson, Steve Mullins and a sister, Inez Barthuly.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to Capitol Hill Christian Church.
