The Life of AXEL M JURGENS
Axel M Jurgens, 91, of 3216 E. Eighth St. died of a heart attack Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Jurgens was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a retired employee of Weity Construction. He was also a 70-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.
Survivors include his wife, Lena; a son, Homer of Placentia, CA; two daughters, Lois Jurgens of Des Moines and June Due of Port Washington, WI; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
