The Life of REX EDWARD ROGERS
Rex E. Rogers of 2411 40th St. died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center of complications of a vascular disease. He was 68. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Hayesville, he moved to Des Moines in 1950 and retired as a prescription shoe fitter. He was a Navy veteran and member of Mended Hearts Club.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma; a daughter, Susan Simpson of West Des Moines; two sisters, Daisy Besser of Sigourney and Doris Schumacher of Clinton; and a grandchild.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Hamilton''''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or the American Heart Association.
