The Life of JERRY LEE JONES

Jerry Lee Jones, 53, of the 1300 block of East 14th Street died of a liver ailment Tuesday at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial wil be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born in Cedar Rapids and had lived in Des MOines 20 years. He was a retired electrician with Eagle Iron Works and a member of Machinist and Aerospace Local 254. He enjoyed camping, fishing and bow hunting. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, a son, Jerry Jr. of Urbandale; a daughter, Rachel Miller of Des Moines; two sisters, Helen Seargent of Des Moines and Mary Goode of Davenport; a brother, Larry Jones of Indianola; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
