The Life of MARY E TUINSTRA
Mary E. Tuinstra, 85, of Grand Junction, CO, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Larchwood Inns Skilled Center there. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Southtown Baptist Church in Des Moines, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery here.
Mrs. Tuinstra was born in Indianola and had lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to Grand Junction in 1994. She was a retired library reference clerk for Drake University.
Surviving are a daughtere, Karen Tuinstra of Grand Junction; four sons, Kenneth of Elk, WA, Mark of San Angelo, TX, Ted of West Des Moines, and Kalvin of Sagle, ID; a brother, Rex Houghtaling of Seattle; a sister, Isabelle Thuem of San Antonio, TX; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
