The Life of DORTHA E DAVIS
Dortha E. Davis, 91, of Woodbury West Health Care Center, 1211 Vine St., West Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Wednesday at home. Services will be graveside at 1 p.m. Saturday in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born in Reedy, WV, and lived in the Des Moines area most of her life, retiring as a sales clerk for Younkers Department Stores. She was a member of St. John''s United Methodist Church, White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, Order of the Eastern Star and Social Order of the Beauceant.
Surviving are a son, Fred of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Dorothy Abbott of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
