The Life of FREDERICK E DAVIS
Services for Fred E. Davis, 86, of 1311 SW Park Ave., will be at noon Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Saturday of complications following a fractured hip at the Commonwealth Care Center, 5608 SW Ninth St.
Mr. Davis was born in Lake City and lived in Des Moines for 60 years. A veteran of World War I, he was a retired city policeman and a member of the Auburn Masonic Lodge, the Des Moines Police Protective and Burial Association and St. John''s United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorotha; a son, Fred, Jr. of Des Moines; a daughter, Dorothy Abbott of Des Moines; two brothers, Ray of Portland, OR, and Miles of Mason City; four sisters, Meta Willis of Nichols, NY, Pauline Roush of Pontiac, MI, and Carol Jordan and Ruth Taylor, both of Des Moines; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
