The Life of LOGAN MERRITT
Services for Logan Merritt, 84, of 1609 Seveth St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memory Garden.
Mr. Merritt died of a heart attack Saturday night. He was born in Union County and lived in Des Moines 61 years. Mr. Merritt was a carpenter until his retirement and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local No. 106.
Mr. Merritt is survived by a son, Charles W. Goering of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Buna Orning of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two foster daughters, Mrs. Hazel Leslie of Carbondale, Ill., and Mrs. Marvin Light of Des Moines; a brother, Lower (Happy) Merritt of Des Moines; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
