The Life of LOIS HAZEL SHAFFER
Lois H. Shaffer, 77, of the 4100 block of Cornell Street died of cancer Monday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ankeny Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Shaffer had lived in Des Moines all her life and had worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1983. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Iowa Geneology Society.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Junior "Frank" and a son, Glenn of Des Moines.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
