Pastor Thomas James Mabe, age 51, of Edina, passed away January 1, 2003. He gradutated from Des Moines East High School, received his bachelor''s degree from Faith Baptist Bible College and his Master''s of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary. Tom was pastor and friend to congregations in Colfax, IA, Luverne, MN and Edina, MN. Devoted to God, family and friends, Tom, you touched our hearts and changed our lives with God''s Word wherever you went.
We will always appreciate how making family time and memories was a priority for you. You taught us so many things: you were truly a role model.
Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Ron. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Sharif and son-in-law Vince, grandsons, Gavin and Treyton; daughter, Shanna and son-in-law, Michael, grandson, Benjamin; son, Josh and daughter-in-law Jennicca; father, Bob; mother, Gay Nelle, brother, Rich and sister, Cindy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Funeral services are Sunday, 2 p.m. at Colony Park Baptist Church, 5532 Wooddale Ave. S, Edina. Interment is at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church and 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, W 50th St. & Hwy 100. 952-920-3996.
