The Life of ELLA M WHITEAKER

Ella M. Whiteaker, 85, of the 4100 block of East Seneca Avenue died of a heart attack Sunday at home.  Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Whiteaker was born in Sleepy Eye, Minn., and had lived most of her life in Des Moines, where she had been a clerk for Atlantic Mills and a member of Debra Heights Wesleyan Church.  She was known for her chocolate and pumpkin pies and her canned jams, jellies and pickled relish.

Survivors include two daughters, Audrey Meyer of Des Moines and Sharon Peterson of Remer, Minn.; two sons, Arnold and David, both of Las Vegas; a sister, Ruth Fischer of Ankeny; three brothers, Henry Greif of Grimes, William Greif of Altoona and Marvin Greif of Johnston; 22 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
