The Life of BOBBY PORTER
Bobby Porter, 44, of the 6000 block of Vista Drive in West Des Moines died of Lou Gehrig''s Disease Friday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Porter was born in Chicago and had lived in West Des Moines since 1995. He was a cook at Swanson Corp. and had worked as a lab technician at the University of Chicago. He was a member of the Perry Bible Church and enjoyed basketball and cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Morefield of West Des Moines; his mother, Algene Williams of West Des Moines; and three brothers, Barrett Diggs, Theodore Dillard and Vincent Primer, all of Des Moines.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Monday at the funeral home.
