The Life of EDWARD EUGENE GORDON
Edward E. Gordon, 69, of the 3700 block of 57th Street died of cancer Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Gordon was born in Des Moines and had lived in Denver, CO, and Santa Fe, NM before returning here five years ago. He was a retired finance manager with Johns-Manville in Denver and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Laveta; a son, Mark of Sante Fe; and his mother, Frances Gordon of Des Moines.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
