The Life of ELLA MAY WILSON

Ella May Wilson, 81, of 2400 30th St., died of leukemia Monday at Sheppard Memorial Hospital in Burnet, Texas.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Albia and had lived in Des Moines most of her life.  She had retired in 1972 as a checker for Thriftway Grocery, now Safeway, after 40 years.  She had been a lifelong member of Central Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a member of White Shrine of Jerusalem Mount Olivet No. 2 and Hawkeye Chapter No. 358 of Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Yenzer of Burnet, Texas; two sisters, Margaret Knoll and Violet Wagner, both of Goshen, Ind.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
