The Life of CHARLES RICHARD MARQUARDT
Charles R. Marquardt, 51, of 817 Buchanan St., died of cancer Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Marquardt was born in Norfolk, NB, and lived in Muscatine and California before moving to Des Moines 30 years ago. He was a telemetry technician at Iowa Lutheran and an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Among survivors are his wife, Terri; a daughter, Ami Marquardt-Gruis, and two stepsons, Shane O''Neill and Sean O''Neill, all of Des Moines; his father, Erwin; and his mother, Florence Marquardt, both of Norfolk; three brothers, Willard of Hartford, WI, Jim of Cambridge and Jerry of Norfolk; two sisters, Ann Olcott of Bakersfield, CA, and Sue Arquardt of Norfolk; and a grandchild.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
