The Life of ROBERT L ALEXANDER
Robert "Alex" Alexander, 60, of the 5900 block of Northwest 54th Court, Johnston, died of a heart ailment Saturday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander was born in Booneville and had lived in Stuart before moving to Johnston in 1964. He retired in 1999 as a supervisor for Johnston Public Works Department and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Chruch, Auburn-Union Masonic Lodge and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.
Survivors include a son, Kent of Johnston; two daughters, Robin Wisgerhof of Dallas Center and Ryann Cole of Des Moines; his mother, Helen Koch of Des Moines; three brothers, LeRoy of Montezuma, William of Victor and James of LaFayette, CO; and three grandchildren.
Felecia McMenamin of Ankeny was his companion.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
