The Life of CHARLES L HOUSMAN
Funeral services for Mr. Housman, who livd at 2004 Lay St. will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Housman was born in Galena, IL; but lived in the Des Moines area most of his life. He worked 30 years for Iowa Packing Co. and retired in 1980 from Hockenberg-Rubin Wholesale Gracers.
Along with his YMCA and handball honors and memberships, he was a member of the B''Nai B''rith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Mr. Housman is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son, Chuck, Jr.; a daughter, Marsha Stoker of Monroe; a brother, LaVerne Olson of West Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m.
