The Life of IVAN WILLIAM JEFFRIES
Ivan Jeffries, 70, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at his home in Des Moines.
Ivan was born February 1, 1943 in Des Moines to Ivan William and Bernice (Lovell) Jeffries. He was a lifelong Des Moines resident and worked for the State of Iowa for 16 years in the Road Maintenance Department.
Ivan is survived by his daughter Julie (Richard) Smithhart, son Tony (Stacy) Jeffries, brother Gary (Connie) Jeffries, step-siblings Jay Wagner and Barbara Stout; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-brother Gif Wagner.
According to Ivan’s wishes, his body has been cremated and no services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Des Moines in Ivan’s name.
