The Life of RAYMOND WESLEY CARLSON

R. Wesley Carlson, 64, of Fairfield Glade, TN, died of a heart attack Thursday in Crossville, TN.  Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Johnston Evangelical Free Church, with private family burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The Rev. Mr. Carlson was born in Maple Plain, MN, and had lived in Johnston for 18 years before moving to Tennessee five months ago.  He was pastor of Fairfield Evangelical Free Church and had been pastor of Johnston Evangelical Free Church from 1973 until 1991.  He was a member of the Evangelical Free Ministerial Association, the National Association of Evangelicals, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School Board of Directors and the Lions Club.  He was also a member of numerous local, district and national associations related to the Evangelical Free Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Colleen Gulleen of Johnston, Pamela Myers of Buffalo Grove, IL; and Joan Carlson of Fort Myers, FL; a brother, Erwin Carlson of Barrett, MN; two sisters, Verona Fratzke of Jamestown, ND and Clair Vlasich of Chisholm, MN; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home.  The family will greet friends following the memorial services Monday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Johnston Evangelical Free Church or Fairfield Evangelical Free Church.
