The Life of ARI ADNE ALICE HARTLEY SAMUELS
Services for Mrs. Adne Samuels, 89, of 139 E Seneca Ave., who died of a stroke Sunday at Mercy Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Arnold''s Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Samuels, who had been ill three months, was born in Mounds Station, IL., and was a Des Moines resident 70 years.
She taught school in many states and held degrees from the former Highland Park College in Des Moines, Drake University and Columbia University in New York City.
Mrs. Samuels was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Duncan of New Cumberland, PA; a son, Clifford of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
