The Life of CARL A FUCHS
Carl A. Fuchs, 85, died Friday, January 16, 2004 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of pneumonia. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 19 at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Carl was born in Des Moines and lived there most of his life. Carl was a fireman for the Des Moines Fire Department before retiring in 1978. He served in the Army in World War II and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Home Lodge #370, Mount Olivet White Shrine #2 and Eastern Star Des Moines Chapter #89. He owned and operated his own business, Fuchs Fire Extinguisher Service.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Fuchs of Des Moines; son, David and Darlyce Fuchs of Watertown, SD; daughter, Carolyn Smith of Berwick; granddaughter, Stacy and Nathan Leemkeil; and two grandsons, Michael and Daniel Fuchs.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
