The Life of MARTHA OGLE SLAUGHTER
Martha Ogle Slaughter, 85, of Valley View Village, 2571 Guthrie Ave., died of a heart attack Wednesday at home. No services are planned, and the body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
Mrs. Slaughter, a member of Highland Park Christian Church, was born in Corydon and lived in Des Moines most of her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean Comstock of Phoenix, Ariz., and Vera Bedford of Des Moines; a brother, Laban Ogle of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Highland Park Funeral Home, and memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Village.
