The Life of MICHAEL DWAYNE ALDRICH

Michael Dwayne Aldrich, 54, of Waukee died of cancer Monday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Waukee Christian Church in Waukee, of which he was a member.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Aldrich was born in Des Moines and had lived in the Adel and Waukee areas all his life.  He was a funeral director and the owner and operator of Fisher-Aldrich Funeral Homes in Adel, Waukee, Van Meter and Redfield.  He was  a musician and a founding member of Maple Street Jazz Band and had played at various local and statewide events.  He was a member of the state and national funeral directors associations and Iowa Musicians Union.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; three sons, Neil Aldrich of Adel, Ben Aldrich of Kansas and Joey Jordison of Waukee; two daughters, Katie Jordison of West Des Moines and Annie Jordison of Des Moines; two brother, Jerry of West Des Moines and Ron of Urbandale; and a grandchild.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the church, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.  Caldwell-Raddatz Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Urbandale is handling arrangements.
