The Life of LOREN J JOHNSON
Services for Loren Johnson of 1526 Mattern Ave., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Fuenral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Johnson, 73, died Thursday at his home. The cause of death was unknown pending results of an autopsy.
Mr. Johnson was born in Elkhart and had lived in Des Moines since 1950. He retired from Williams Pipe Line and was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion and veterans fo Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Ione; a daughter, Delieth Johnson of Des Moines; a son, Jerald Johnson of Grimes; a sister, Arlene Hutton of Des Moines; and a brother, Dwayne Johnson of Polk City.
Firends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.

Mr. Johnson died Thursday at home of carbon monoxide poisoning. The death was ruled a suicide. A previous obituary did not include the cause of death.
