The Life of ERNEST TORRENCE

Ernest Torrence, 81, of Carney, a retired farmer, died of a heart ailment Tuesday night at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital after a two-year illness.

Born in Salem, IL, Mr. Torrence lived in Oskaloosa before moving to Polk County 40 years ago.

Services will be Thursday noon at the Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

There are no immediate family survivors.
