The Life of ELVEN MONROE NEESE
Elven M. "Al" Neese, 91, of Beaverdale Estates, 4610 Douglas Ave., died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Charter Community Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Neese was born in Greencastle, IN, and had lived in Des Moines since 1941. He retired as founder and President of Neese and Sons in Ankeny and was a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are four sons, Ralph of Phoenix, AZ, Howard of Urbandale, Dean of West Des Moines and Gene of Ankeny; a daughter, Helen Black of Mission Viejo, CA; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
