The Life of DAVID MICHAEL SMITH
David M. Smith, 33, of West Allis, WI, died Monday at home. The cause of death was unknown, pending results of an autopsy. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, both in Des Moines.
Mr. Smith was born in Des Moines, where he lived until moving to West Allis six years ago. He was a computer programmer with Fiserv.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie Ann Smith of Cross Lanes, WV; his parents, Jack and Pat Smith of Des Moines; three brothers, Robert of Olathe, KS, and Paul and Jim of Des Moines; two sisters, Jackie Walkwitz of Germany and Patti Eslinger of Des Moines; and his grandmother, Bernice Smith of Pleasant Hill.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Federation of the Blind or the American Diabetic Association.
