The Life of J BURCH MORFORD
J. Burch Morford, 79, of 3506 Belmar Drive died of a heart attack Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery before services.
Mr. Morford, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a retired veteran''s counselor with the Iowa Veteran''s Commission, an Army veteran of World War II and member of First Church of God.
Among survivors are his wife, Betty; a daughter, Marilyn Wilson of Waterloo; a son, Doran of Westport, CT; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or his church.
