The Life of RAYMOND CHARLES STUMPF

Raymond C. "Bud" Stumpf, 81, of the 3600 block of 27th Place died of complications of diabetes and a heart ailment Monday at Veterans Medical Center in Knoxville.  Cremation will follow visitation.  Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Stumpf was born in Des Moines and had lived here most of his life.  He was the retired owner of Imported Motor Service, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Boline-Manfredi American Legion Post 9662.  He enjoyed golfing, sports and cars.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff and Raymond D., and two sisters, Frances Smith and Maxine Perry, all of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita V.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home.
