The Life of WILLIAM CHARLES STUBBS
William Charles Stubbs, 84, of 5421 Aurora Ave., died of cancer Sunday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Stubbs, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a retired maintenance worker at Iowa Lutheran Hosptial and a member of Point of Grace Church and Adventure Club.
Survivors include his wife, Irma; a daughter, Barbara Rudy of Des Moines; a sister, Emma Armstrong of Lakewood, CA; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or his church.
