The Life of ELIZABETH G PROCTOR
Elizabeth G. Proctor, 84, of 1403 Thompson Ave., died of a stroke Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Proctor was a lifelong Des Moines resident and was retired as a registered nurse with Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Following her retirement, she became a volunteer worker at Iowa Lutheran and initiated the Infant Car Seat Program, which is now used by all Des Moines-area hospitals.
Surviving are her husband, Charles R.; three sons, Charles H. of Conroe, TX, Robert of Des Moines and Stephen of Saylorville; a daughter, Elizabeth Dunagan of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International in West Des Moines. Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
