The Life of HUGH DEVIN MCCOMBS

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dunn''''s Funeral Home on Grand Avenue for Hugh McCombs, 46, of 3825 Union St., who died Thursday of a stroke at University Hospitals at Iowa City. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Cherokee, Mr. McCombs lived in Des Moines for 39 years and worked as assistant plant manager for Anderson-Erickson Dairy. He was a graduate of Iowa State University and was a member of Signa Chi Fraternity, Acanthus Masonic Lodge, Iowa Travel Trailer Club, Iowa Association of Food and Dairy Technologists, North High Booster Club, Highland Park Little League and First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; a daughter, Terri Anne at home; a son, David D. of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Donald P. Cohron of Atlantic; and his mother, Mrs. Newell D. McCombs of St. Petersburg, Fla.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
