The Life of CARROLL EARL FETTERS

Carroll Earl "Cat" Fetters, 62, of 2735 Des Moines St. died of a heart attack Saturday in Minden LA.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Fetters, a lifelong resident of Des Moines, was the owner of Allstate Flagpole Service and Painting Co.  He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Operating Engineers Union.

Surviving are four sons, Steven of La Crosse, WI, and James, Michael and Carroll, all of Des Moines; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Parks of Adel and Charlene Parker of De Soto; two daughters, Kathy Collins and Dolly McConnell, a brother Ralph, a half-brother, Melvin and a stepbrother, Ivan Chapman, all of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
