The Life of HAROLD E MCVAY
Harold E. "Red" McVay, 91, of 8230 Harbach Blvd., Clive, died of cancer Sunday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m.Thursday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. McVay was born in Des Moines and had lived in Clive since 1968. He was a retired operating engineer with Neumann Construction Co. and a member of the Operating Engineers local union.
He is survived by wife, Elizabeth; three daughters, Dorothy Amis of Chapin, SC, Shirley Renes of Des Moines and Deanna Howell of Urbandale; a son, Harold of Des Moines; a brother, Robert of Vera Beach, FL; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
