The Life of RODNEY D LARSON
Rodney Larson, 39, of the 1800 block of Grand Avenue in West Des Moines died of a respiratory ailment Monday at Kavanagh House on Grand there. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Larson was born in Des Moines and had lived in the area most of his life. he also had lived in Elkader, Decorah, Missouri Valley, Creston and Ankeny. He was a retired social worker with the Iowa Department of Human Services and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his parents, Georgia and Larry Larson of Waukesha, WI; and three brothers, Gary and David, both of Ankeny, and Tom of Des Moines.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present form 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh House on Grand.
