The Life of KATHERINE EDNA SWANSON
Catherine Edna Swanson, 83, of 3501 E. Seventh St. died of a heart ailment Friday at Riverview Manor. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Swanson was born in Northwest Iowa and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She retired in 1970 from American Republic Insurance Co.
Survivors include a son, Carl of Des Moines; a sister, Marie Lienemann of Van Meter; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Merle Hay Funeral Home.
