The Life of RUTH JOAN POLLEY
Ruth Joan Polley, 84, of 820 E Seneca Ave. died of kidney failure Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Polley was born in Prairie City and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a retired secretary at The Des Moines Register and was a member of Colfax Alumni Association and First Baptist Church of Colfax.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil; a son, James of Anamosa; and two brothers, Ross Cline of Johnston and John Cline of Aurora, CO.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
