The Life of JAMES LEO JONES
James L. Jones, 30, of 2127 E Thirteenth St. died of cancer Thursday at Mercy Hospital after an illness of several months.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.
A truck driver for Meredith Corporation, Mr. Jones was born in Des Moines and was a lifelong resident here. He was a member of the Royal Order of the Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; two sons, James Jr. and Kevin, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Meryle Christy of Des Moines; his stepfather, Richard Christy of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Shirley Riche of Menlo, and a stepsister, Debbie Christy of Des Moines.
